Softball Recap: Greenleaf Friends Academy Comes Up Short

Greenleaf Friends Academy was the 16-6 winner over Rimrock when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies lost 22-12 to the Raiders on Monday. The Grizzlies just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Alani Hidalgo and Kaylin Wilks did some serious damage despite the final result: Hidalgo got on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and two runs, while Wilks went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Sylvia Ovalle was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Greenleaf Friends Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rimrock, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

As of now, neither Greenleaf Friends Academy nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
