Soccer Game Preview: McDonough vs. Jones County

The McDonough Warhawks will face off against the Jones County Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonough's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

McDonough fell victim to Ola and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, McDonough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Ola are ranked 154th).

Meanwhile, Jones County made easy work of Eagle's Landing on Tuesday and carried off a 5-1 win. The result was nothing new for Jones County, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

McDonough's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Jones County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
