It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Windermere can now relate to. They fell just short of the Winter Haven Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Oscar Fernandez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Windermere saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Vargas, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Windermere's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Winter Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Windermere nor Winter Haven have any future games scheduled.
