Softball Recap: Calhoun City Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calhoun City can now relate to. They lost 12-1 to the Union Yellowjackets on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost four in a row.

Calhoun City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Goodson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Calhoun City's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Union, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-11.

While Calhoun City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
