Soccer Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

Buchanan came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the Dowagiac Chieftains. While losing is never fun, Buchanan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 407th, while Dowagiac are ranked 118th).

Buchanan has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Dowagiac, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-3.

Looking ahead, Buchanan is taking a road trip to face off against Niles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dowagiac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
