Basketball Recap: Holton Comes Up Short

Holton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. The game between the Red Devils and the Mason County Central Spartans didn't end well, with the Red Devils falling 48-34. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-46 back in December of 2025.

Holton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mason County Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Holton will square off against Hesperia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mason County Central, they have already played their next contest, a 70-48 loss against North Muskegon on the 2nd.
