Baseball Game Preview: A.C. Flora Falcons vs. Blythewood Bengals

The A.C. Flora Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Blythewood Bengals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, A.C. Flora didn't have quite enough to beat York and fell 9-8.

Meanwhile, Blythewood waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They beat the Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The Bengals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

Chance Johnson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Blythewood got a massive performance out of Alex Myers, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Myers has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sammy Franklin, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Blythewood pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for A.C. Flora, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

A.C. Flora suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Blythewood in their previous meeting on Friday. Can A.C. Flora avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
