Basketball Game Preview: Pearl Pirates vs. Center Hill Mustangs

The Pearl Pirates and the Center Hill Mustangs will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearl knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Center Hill likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Pearl was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-60 to Clinton. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Arrows: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Center Hill unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were outmatched by Overton and fell 58-28. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pearl's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Center Hill, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
