Shaw and Taylorsville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Shaw had to settle for second. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 10-0 walloping at the hands of the Taylorsville Tartars. The defeat means Shaw is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Taylorsville's part, Noah Westbrook made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Westbrook was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-1 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Terry Barnes was excellent, going 1-for-1 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
