Monroe is  a perfect 4-0 against Meadowdale since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bearcats will head out on the road to  challenge  the Mavericks  at 5:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Monroe took a loss when they played away from home  last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They walked away with  a   34-21  win over Shorecrest. Considering the Bearcats' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Chris Britt went supernova, throwing for 313 yards and three  touchdowns, while also rushing for 41 yards and one  TD. 81 of  Britt's passing yards were hauled in by Miles Skelly, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 Monroe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Jackson Dalke and  Britt.
Meanwhile, Meadowdale waltzed into their game  on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Royals 34-14. With the Mavericks ahead  21-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
Meadowdale found their leader in sophomore  Keavaghn Steich, who rushed for 179 yards and three  scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.  Zekiah Gamble was another key signal caller, throwing for 96 yards and one  TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Meadowdale was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 227  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lynnwood didn't  rushed for any.
 Monroe's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Meadowdale, the  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 5-2.
 Everything came up roses for Monroe against Meadowdale in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  56-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
