Basketball Game Preview: South Iredell Vikings vs. Bandys Trojans + How To Watch

The South Iredell Vikings will face off against the Bandys Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Iredell has given up an average of 51.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Iredell is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a blow against North Mecklenburg, falling 71-22. South Iredell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-12.

Meanwhile, Bandys took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wilkes Central 59-28. The Trojans pushed the score to 49-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Bandys' win came from a few key players South Iredell will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addison Bell, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shania Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine steals.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bandys, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

South Iredell skirted past Bandys 54-51 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
