Basketball Game Preview: McClintock Chargers vs. Central Bobcats

Two dominant guards in Kyler Frye and John Mattingly are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The McClintock Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for McClintock against Fairfax as the team secured a 73-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

It was another big night for Joshua Mcmanaway, who went 8 of 16 en route to 25 points in addition to six assists and five steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Frye was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points along with six assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, Central entered their tilt with Carl Hayden Community on Tuesday with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 81-48. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 23 points or more this season.

McClintock is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
