Volleyball Recap: Southwick Regional Takes a Loss

Southwick Regional lost against Chicopee back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 3-2.

Southwick Regional actually scored more points across those five sets (107-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Nicolas Spina paced Southwick Regional's offense, picking up 33 kills. Spina got some help from Phong Tran and his 49 assists. Spina was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Southwick Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chicopee, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Southwick Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against John J. Duggan Academy on the 3rd. As for Chicopee, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Granby on the 3rd.
