            Basketball Recap: Locust Fork Hornets vs. Holly Pond Broncos        
        
		
        
        
            Locust Fork and Holly Pond squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Locust Fork had to settle for second. They fell  31-20 to the Holly Pond Broncos. The  matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Locust Fork's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Cortlyn Williamson, who  posted nine  points and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Camp, who  put up two points and five  boards.
Locust Fork dropped their record down to 13-9 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road. As for Holly Pond, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
 Locust Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holly Pond, they will face off against Vinemont at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. One thing working in Vinemont's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last three games.
