Volleyball Recap: Thompson Comes Up Short

Thompson was the 3-0 winner over Devils Lake when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Tommies fell just short of the Firebirds by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Tommies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Thompson actually scored more points across those five sets (105-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-12.

Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4-1. As for Devils Lake, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-9-2.

Coming up, Thompson will face off against Langdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Devils Lake, they will take on Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
