Volleyball Recap: MAST Academy Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If MAST Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Braddock on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Makos lost 3-0 to Archimedean on Monday.

MAST Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Archimedean work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 26-24.

Abi Espinosa paced MAST Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Espinosa got some help from Ariadna Ros and her ten assists. Kyra Jardim controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

MAST Academy's defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Archimedean, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, MAST Academy will head out on the road to face off against Killian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archimedean, they will host Greater Miami Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
