Basketball Recap: Garnet Valley Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Garnet Valley pushed their score to 56 the last time they played Penncrest, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Garnet Valley Jaguars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Penncrest Lions 32-29. The 32-point effort marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Garnet Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Penncrest, with the defeat, they broke their 14-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-1.

Garnet Valley and Penncrest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Garnet Valley (ranked 76th) will meet Radnor (ranked 409th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Penncrest will square off against Ridley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 395 places (21 vs. 416).
