Soccer Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Comes Up Short

Forsyth Home Educators entered their contest against Oak Grove on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hawks lost 4-1 to the Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, Forsyth Home Educators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Oak Grove are ranked 18th).

Forsyth Home Educators' goal came courtesy of Anna Burke, who's now up to eight this season.

Forsyth Home Educators suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 11-5-1. As for Oak Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will challenge Atkins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will take on North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove's defense better be ready for this one: North Davidson have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season.
