Western had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Eldorado Firehawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted against the Firehawks since September 5, 2017.

Western was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 12-25, 25-14, 15-11.

Western will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Amplus Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Eldorado, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Sunrise Mountain on the 21st.
