Volleyball Recap: Rock Academy Takes a Loss

Rock Academy entered their matchup against Classical Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Caimans.

Rock Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Classical Academy work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-17.

Martha Mulumbilwa paced Rock Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Mulumbilwa got some help from Daniella Lara and her 15 assists. Lara was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Rock Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Rock Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Tri-City Christian on the 2nd. As for Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Del Lago Academy on the 1st.
