Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for Rock Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fairview Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Redmen as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Rock Hill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-12, 25-11, 25-18.

Journee Meddings paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Meddings got some help from Lexi Mullens and her 14 assists. Mullens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Fairview, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Looking ahead, Rock Hill will host South Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairview, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rose Hill Christian on the 20th.
