Basketball Recap: Windsor Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Windsor Academy hadn't done well against Central Georgia Arts recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Windsor Academy Knights came out on top against Central Georgia Arts by a score of 49-40. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Windsor Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyndall Bowen out in front who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Bowen has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Audrey Dobson was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Windsor Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Central Georgia Arts lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hannah Strange, who scored 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Strange has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Koerts, who earned ten points and eight boards.

Windsor Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Central Georgia Arts, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Windsor Academy has already played their next match, a 60-40 victory against Flint River Academy on the 1st. As for Central Georgia Arts, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-27 loss against Konos Academy on the 31st.
