Softball Recap: Rosholt Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Tuesday. Rosholt lost 30-19 to Elcho. That's two games in a row now that Rosholt has lost by exactly 11 runs.

Sami Kaminski stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 5-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those runs marked the first that she scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Nyman, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Rosholt's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Rosholt will square off against Almond-Bancroft at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Elcho, they will host Tigerton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
