Basketball Game Preview: Windham Bombers vs. Rootstown Rovers

The Windham Bombers will take on the Rootstown Rovers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Windham and Champion, and Champion kept the tradition alive. The Bombers fell 42-37 to the Golden Flashes on Saturday. While the Bombers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Flashes 15-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Rootstown escaped with a win on Monday against Fairless by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63.

Rootstown now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Windham, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Windham's way against Rootstown in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, as Windham made off with a 68-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
