It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Resurrection Christian had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over the Platte Valley Broncos. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

Resurrection Christian had a senior duo take command as Callie Gillespie dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds and Caz McGraw almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. McGraw continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Lysette Baatz was another key player, putting up seven points and nine boards.

Resurrection Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platte Valley only three assists.

Platte Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mia Koffler, who posted eight points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Uyemura, who earned eight points and five steals.

Resurrection Christian's record now sits at 23-2. As for Platte Valley, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Resurrection Christian will square off against Strasburg at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Strasburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. Platte Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
