Basketball Game Preview: Mitchell Mustangs vs. Sports Leadership & Management Spartans

Two dominant guards in Eli Wilson and Derrick Doe are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Mitchell Mustangs will be playing at home against the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Mitchell sitting on three straight victories and Sports Leadership & Management on five.

Last Saturday, Mitchell made easy work of River Ridge and carried off a 94-72 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management got the win against Land O' Lakes on Saturday by a conclusive 69-45.

Mitchell pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20.5 points. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Mitchell was dealt a bruising 92-53 loss at the hands of Sports Leadership & Management in their previous meeting back in December of 2020. Thankfully for Mitchell, Donte Forrester-Jhagroo (who went 10 of 19 en route to 24 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
