Recap: Springdale Prep Lions vs. Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors

It was a good run, but the Springdale Prep Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-49 walloping at the hands of Mt. Zion Prep Academy. Springdale Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Zion Prep Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Langston Bailey, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was D'yan Carter, who scored 14 points.

Springdale Prep bumped their record down to 6-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.4 points per game. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springdale Prep will square off against Shabach Christian Academy Blue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Zion Prep Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against New Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. One thing working in New Hope Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
