Football Recap: Niwot Takes a Loss

Niwot lost against Windsor back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars had to suffer through a 59-7 loss at the hands of the Wizards. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.

Mason Moore was his usual excellent self, rushing for 67 yards and one TD on only five carries, while also throwing for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes for Windsor. Moore's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Cam Johnson was another key rusher, rushing for 72 yards and one score on only five carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Niwot and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Windsor, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Niwot didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-7 loss against Timnath on the 18th. As for Windsor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 48-0 victory against Northridge on the 17th.
