Basketball Game Preview: Community School of Naples Seahawks vs. Palmetto Ridge Bears

Having just played yesterday, the Community School of Naples Seahawks will jump right back in to play the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Community School of Naples saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seacrest Country Day. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (59), the Seahawks still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Palmetto Ridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-52 win over the Green Wave.

Palmetto Ridge's win came from a few key players Community School of Naples will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jeriah Muldrow, who went 5 for 11 en route to 19 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Juju Castillo, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Palmetto Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Community School of Naples, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Community School of Naples came up short against Palmetto Ridge in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 68-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Muldrow, who posted 17 points and three steals.
