The Notre Dame Academy Pandas will head out on the road to face off against the Grant County Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Notre Dame Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Bishop Brossart with a sharp 8-0 victory.
Not much got past Abby Turnpaugh, who gave up just one hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Bishop Brossart off the board. Turnpaugh has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Addison Zinser was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Ava McKinley, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.
Meanwhile, Grant County entered their tilt with Owen County with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Rebels on Wednesday.
