Basketball Recap: Oakman Takes a Loss

Oakman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Meek Tigers 43-14. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-24 back in November of 2024.

Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Meek, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Oakman Wildcats face off against the Haleyville Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Oakman is facing Haleyville at the right time seeing as Haleyville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Meek, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sumiton Christian at 5:00 p.m.
