Basketball Recap: Days Creek Comes Up Short

Days Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 55-17 defeat at the hands of the Powers Cruisers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 53-22 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Days Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Powers, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Days Creek will welcome Umpqua Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Powers, they are taking a road trip to face off against Riddle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Powers knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Riddle likes a good challenge.
