Lowellville proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Memorial Red Devils 12-11. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 victory the Red Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.
Lowellville let Giuliana Alfano and Laila Rivera run wild. Alfano scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Rivera scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Natalie Macejko was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
The win got Lowellville back to even at 2-2. As for Memorial, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
