Basketball Game Preview: Caney Cougars vs. Milburn Eagles

Caney has gone a perfect 10-0 against Milburn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Caney's win against Soper wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Bears 51-48. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Milburn hadn't done well against Stringtown recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles secured a 47-42 W over the Tigers.

Milburn's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Caney, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Caney strolled past Milburn in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 63-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
