            Volleyball Recap: Athens Drive Jaguars vs. Rolesville Rams        
        
		
        
        
            
There's no place like home for Athens Drive, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Thursday. They came out on top against the Rolesville Rams by a score of  3-1  on Tuesday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.
 Athens Drive walked away with the   win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 17-25,  25-14.

 Athens Drive was led to victory by  Annie Baublitz and  Holden Carroll.  Baublitz  had 44 assists and 13  digs, while  Carroll  had 20  digs and two  assists. That's the most  digs  Baublitz has posted since back in August.
 Despite the  defeat, Rolesville saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Rouelle Pineda  had 15  assists and seven  digs. Those 15  assists set a new season-high mark for  Pineda. The team also got some help courtesy of  Payton Woodle, who  had ten  digs and three assists.
Athens Drive's  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 3-15. As for Rolesville, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 6-11.
 Athens Drive wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  defeat against Broughton on the 2nd. As for Rolesville, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  loss against Heritage on the 1st.
