Basketball Recap: Milford Central Takes a Loss

Milford Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Worcester Wolverines. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-36 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Milford Central still got an impressive performance from Tanner Greiner, who posted 17 points. Greiner is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Isaac Wikoff was another key player, putting up nine points.

Milford Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Worcester, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Milford Central has already played their next game, a 66-62 win against Windham-Ashland-Jewett on the 27th. As for Worcester, they will square off against Morris Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Worcester comes in on six and Morris Central on four.
