Football Game Preview: Monroe Central Seminoles vs. Shadyside Tigers + How To Watch

The Monroe Central Seminoles will face off against the Shadyside Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroe Central will be strutting in after a victory while Shadyside will be coming in after a loss.

Monroe Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Cameron 28-6. The Seminoles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, Shadyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-21 heartbreaker at the hands of Bridgeport.

Monroe Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Shadyside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Monroe Central against Shadyside when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-0 victory. Will the Seminoles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
