Softball Recap: The Linsly School's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If The Linsly School was riding high fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Toronto last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Linsly School lost 10-0 to the Martins Ferry Purple Riders on Tuesday. The Cadets have struggled against the Purple Riders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

The Linsly School saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison ?May? Applegarth, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, The Linsly School fell to 2-1. As for Martins Ferry, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Linsly School will host Bellaire at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Martins Ferry, they will be playing at home against Indian Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
