Volleyball Recap: Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies vs. Northridge Raiders
Plymouth lost against Northridge back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies fell just short of the Northridge Raiders by a score of 3-2. The Pilgrims/Rockies' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Plymouth actually scored more points across those five sets (108-107), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-11.
Molly Nickell had an outrageously good game for Northridge as she had 45 digs and three aces. Nickell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played.
Plymouth now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Northridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.
Plymouth will challenge New Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
