On Friday, Montpelier faced Thetford Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Montpelier Solons strolled past the Thetford Academy Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 76-57. Winning may never get old, but the Solons sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Montpelier's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Foster, who posted 15 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Carter Bruzzese was another key player, going 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points along with six boards and five assists.

Montpelier's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.1 points per game. As for Thetford Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2-1.
