McAdory is 0-3 against Hoover since February of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The McAdory Yellowjackets will challenge the Hoover Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m. McAdory is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

McAdory will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Hillcrest, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. McAdory came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillcrest on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted against the Patriots since March 6, 2017.

The team relied heavily on Payton Yarbrough, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

McAdory hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hoover's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chelsea by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Buccaneers have suffered since April 27, 2024.

McAdory pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Hoover, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

McAdory suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Hoover when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can McAdory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
