South Bend Riley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Columbia City Eagles by a score of 57-47. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Eagles are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Bend Riley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Columbia City, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats challenge the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Bend Riley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Elkhart likes a good challenge. As for Columbia City, they will venture away from home to take on Leo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
