Preview: Greater New Bedford RVT Bears vs. Wareham Vikings
The Greater New Bedford RVT Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Wareham Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater New Bedford RVT is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 94-52, which was the final score in Greater New Bedford RVT's tilt against the Raiders on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Greater New Bedford RVT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Raiders are ranked seventh).
Meanwhile, Wareham scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Dennis-Yarmouth Regional at home to the tune of 95-55. Wareham has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Greater New Bedford RVT's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Wareham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Greater New Bedford RVT suffered a grim 68-45 defeat to the Vikings in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Greater New Bedford RVT avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
