Volleyball Recap: Lanier Christian Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Lanier Christian Academy can bid farewell to their seven-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Genesis Academy Genesis 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lightning have posted since August 21st.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-91) Lanier Christian Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 11-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-13.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-17. As for Genesis Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Lanier Christian Academy will challenge Horizon Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genesis Academy, they will take on East Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
