Football Game Preview: Livermore Cowboys vs. California Grizzlies + How To Watch

Livermore is 0-4 against California since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Cowboys will take on the Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after five games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

On Friday, Livermore beat Heritage 27-14. The 27-point effort marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, California won against Menlo-Atherton last Friday with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Grizzlies came out on top against McClymonds by a score of 28-20.

A big part of California's win came down to the chemistry between Banerjee Arjun and his top target Luke Taylor. Arjun threw for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes while Taylor picked up 48 receiving yards and two TDs.

Livermore's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for California, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Livermore has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 157.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like California struggles in that department as they've been averaging 164.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
