Softball Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

Lathrop fell victim to Beyer and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Patriots. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lathrop's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Beyer, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Coming up, Lathrop will head out on the road to challenge Pacheco at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Beyer, they will be playing at home against Ceres at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
