Softball Recap: Coleman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valley Lutheran on Monday, Coleman came back down to earth. The Comets came up short against the Benzie Central Huskies on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Klaira Sysak was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Coleman's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Benzie Central, they moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Coleman by a score of 12-9 later that day.
