Baseball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Chowchilla hit Riverdale with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cowboys fell just short of the Tribe by a score of 9-8. The Cowboys haven't had much luck with the Tribe recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Riverdale saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xaidyn Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Camacho is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. JAVI DUARTE was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Chowchilla, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

As of now, neither Riverdale nor the Tribe have any future games scheduled.
