Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. Parkland Mustangs

Glenn hasn't had much luck against Parkland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Glenn Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Parkland Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

Glenn is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 70-1 loss at the hands of Davie. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Parkland can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Tabor, sneaking past 58-55.

Parkland's win came from a few key players Glenn will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Asia Blackwell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Fisher, who went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points along with six boards and five steals.

Parkland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Parkland's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Glenn was dealt a bruising 70-10 loss at the hands of Parkland in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can Glenn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
