Basketball Recap: Alberton Comes Up Short

Alberton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Hot Springs Savage Heat, falling 59-11. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Savage Heat apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Alberton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hot Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

While Alberton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
